Château Le Verdoyer dates back from the 13th century and has changed a lot over the centuries. The large tower dates from the end of the 19th century. The oldest part is the remainder of the round tower on the west wing. With the entrance door from this period.
Inside the restaurant, the beautiful stained glass window immediately catches the eye. If you want to see the same you must go to the church and castle of Chalus where Richard the Lionheart has died.
You will find one made by the same artist.
During the tour : you will enter the old tower with the beehive in one of the loopholes, you will be reminded of old secret passageways and escape tunnels, or climb on top of the main tower to get a breathtaking view.
